ABOUT THE ECED

Edinboro Community and Economic Development (ECED) is a regional non-profit organization committed to fostering positive, community-wide growth in the Edinboro area. Through economic and civic initiatives, the ECED seeks to empower the Edinboro community to effect targeted change that addresses current public needs and builds regional resilience. Edinboro is a unique area where rural and urban values intersect, and the best "small-town America" qualities shine.

Reflecting these objectives, the ECED's mission emphasizes the realization of a community vision for Edinboro. This vision includes strengthening Edinboro's social and physical infrastructure, maintaining and enhancing a welcoming environment for new businesses to develop and current businesses to thrive, and meaningfully improving the Edinboro region's quality of life by supporting and/or implementing art, education, and wellness opportunities and initiatives. In doing so, the ECED seeks to provide Edinboro-area residents and visitors with the foundational community elements that contribute to rich, diverse living. Through ECED initiatives and robust public participation, we can effectively contribute to the revitalization of Northwest Pennsylvania and truly make the Edinboro area a community for all seasons!
